By reading The Aletheia you accept the terms set out below. They are the agreement between you and the journal, published by Akshat Kumar. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
The work is copyrighted
Everything published here — essays, reporting, headlines, illustrations, photographs, and the design of the site itself — is protected by copyright, held by the journal or by the contributor who made it. Nothing on this site transfers any of those rights to a reader.
What you may do
Read it, print a copy for yourself, quote a short passage with attribution to the author and to The Aletheia, and link to any page freely. That is the normal courtesy of publishing and we welcome it.
What needs permission
Republishing a piece in whole or in substantial part, translating it, putting it behind someone else's paywall, or using our work to train a machine-learning model all require written permission first. So does any commercial use. Ask at akshat.1790@gmail.com or pawandudi5000@gmail.com — we answer, and we usually say yes to a fair request.
Submissions
We read unsolicited work. Sending us a piece does not create an obligation on our part to publish it, to reply on any timetable, or to pay for it unless we have agreed terms with you in writing. You keep the copyright in what you write; by sending it you grant us permission to consider it and, if we accept it, to publish it here and to keep it in our archive. Do not send us anything you do not have the right to send, and do not send confidential material.
Comments on accuracy
We publish in good faith and we correct in public. If you believe something we have published is wrong, write to us and tell us what and why. Corrections are made to the piece itself.
The newsletter
Subscribing means we will email you when a new issue appears, and nothing else. You may have your address removed at any time by writing to us. How we handle that address is set out in our privacy notice.
Availability, and the limits of our promise
The site is provided as it is. We try to keep it up, accurate, and secure, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of anything harmful, and we do not promise that any article is fit for a particular purpose of yours. Opinions in signed pieces belong to their authors. Where we link to another site, we are not responsible for what is on it.
To the extent the law allows, the journal is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may revise these terms. The revision date at the top of the page tells you when they last changed, and the version published here is the one that applies.
Contact
Permissions, corrections, and questions about these terms go to akshat.1790@gmail.com or pawandudi5000@gmail.com, addressed to Akshat Kumar or Pawan Kumar Chaudhary, publisher.
